AI Studio Pte Ltd ("AI Studio", "we", "us", or "our") is a Singapore-based company that designs and builds custom AI agents for businesses. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit bananalabs.io or interact with us through our contact channels, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. This policy is written to be consistent with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).

1. What data we collect

We collect personal data directly from you and automatically through your use of our site and channels:

• Contact and enquiry forms. Name, email address, company name, phone number, and any message content you submit when you contact us through a form on this site.
• WhatsApp. If you message us on WhatsApp (via the WhatsApp Business API), we receive your phone number, display name, and the content of your messages, including any files, voice notes, or attachments you send.
• Calendly bookings. When you book a call with us via Calendly, we receive your name, email address, time zone, and any details you provide in the booking form.
• Site analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to collect standard usage data — pages viewed, referring site, approximate location (derived from IP address), device and browser type, and time spent on the site. This is collected in aggregate and is not used to identify you personally.
• Correspondence. If you email us, we keep a record of that correspondence, including your email address and the contents of the message.

2. Why we collect it

We use personal data only for the following purposes:

• Responding to your enquiries and providing information about our services.
• Scheduling and conducting discovery calls and demos.
• Scoping, quoting, and delivering AI agent projects for clients who engage us.
• Operating and improving our WhatsApp-based support and sales channels.
• Understanding how visitors use our website so we can improve content and navigation.
• Meeting legal, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell personal data. We do not use your data to train third-party AI models beyond what is necessary to generate a direct response to you (for example, an AI-assisted reply on WhatsApp).

3. Legal basis and consent

Under the PDPA, we rely on your deemed or express consent when you voluntarily submit a form, initiate a WhatsApp conversation, or book a call with us. Where permitted by law, we may also rely on the "legitimate interests" exception — for example, to respond to a message you sent us or to maintain basic security logs.

4. Third parties and data processors

We share personal data with a limited set of service providers who process it on our behalf, strictly to deliver the services above. These include:

• Meta (WhatsApp Business API) — to send and receive WhatsApp messages.
• Calendly — to manage call and demo bookings.
• OpenAI and Anthropic — to power the AI systems that draft or generate responses on our website chat and WhatsApp channel.
• Netlify — to host this website and serve its content.
• Google (Google Analytics) — to measure website traffic and usage.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy and may process data outside Singapore. Where data is transferred overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it receives a comparable standard of protection, as required under the PDPA's transfer limitation obligation. We do not share personal data with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

5. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law:

• Enquiry, contact form, and WhatsApp conversation data is generally retained for up to 24 months from your last interaction with us, unless you engage us as a client, in which case project-related data is retained for the duration of the engagement and a reasonable period afterward for accounting and legal purposes.
• Calendly booking data is retained for as long as needed to manage scheduling and is periodically purged of past, unconverted bookings.
• Aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely, as it does not identify you personally.

When personal data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.

6. Your rights

Under the PDPA, you have the right to:

• Ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you and how it has been used or disclosed.
• Request access to, or a copy of, your personal data.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
• Withdraw your consent to our collection, use, or disclosure of your personal data (for example, by asking us to stop messaging you on WhatsApp or by unsubscribing from communications).
• Ask us to delete personal data we no longer have a legal basis to retain.

7. Cookies and tracking

This site uses cookies and similar technologies (via Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use it. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not affect your ability to browse the site or contact us, but may limit some functionality.

8. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or loss, including access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and working only with reputable, well-established service providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our services are directed at businesses and are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements.
